Before your treatment
Following your consultation, pre-care information will be discussed with you to ensure you receive the best possible outcome from your treatment.
When you attend your appointment, it is preferable you do not wear any make-up. If you are wearing make-up, it will be removed prior to your treatment. This will avoid any risk of infection.
Although your treatment will take 30 minutes, please allow additional time for your appointment as every patient is very important to me and treated on an individual basis. You are welcome to take a seat, help yourself to the selection of refreshments in the waiting room before and after your treatment if you would like to.

During your treatment
The areas to be treated will be cleaned, make up removed if worn, and then disinfected. Treatment will be carried out using a microneedling dermapen, a CE and FDA approved device. The microneedling device is moved across the skin in a controlled manner, creating micro-injuries in the skin to stimulate collagen production. Exosomes (treatments with Purasomes) are applied during and after microneedling to enhance penetration and boost the treatment’s effectiveness.
The cartridge includes perfectly placed tiny fine needles, so most patients do not require numbing. However, numbing cream can be provided if required. Sensations during microneedling can vary, but the procedure shouldn’t be painful.

After your treatment
Immediately after treatment it is quite normal for there to be moderate – mild redness. These signs will gradually disappear 12-48 hours following treatment, and depending on the treatment depth and skin type.
Please follow the aftercare advice to minimise adverse effects and maximise your treatment outcome:
• Avoid any skincare product that has ‘active’ ingredients e.g. retinol. Use gentle skincare products 48 hours after treatment.
• Avoid sun exposure.
• Avoid the use of make-up for 24-48 hours after treatment.
• Avoid vigorous exercise / sweat.
• Keep hydrated.
