Before your treatment
Following your consultation, pre-care information will be discussed with you to ensure you receive the best possible outcome from your treatment.
When you attend your appointment, it is preferable you do not wear any make-up. If you are wearing make-up, it will be removed prior to your treatment. This will avoid any risk of infection.
Although your treatment will take 30 minutes, please allow additional time for your appointment as every patient is very important to me and treated on an individual basis. You are welcome to take a seat, help yourself to the selection of refreshments in the waiting room before and after your treatment if you would like to.

During your treatment
A topical numbing cream will be applied and removed after 20-40 minutes to allow it to take effect. The areas to be treated will be cleaned, make up removed if worn, and then disinfected. Profhilo is injected superficially at 5 specific points on each side of the face. These points are known as Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) identified to initiate the best use of the product on your face, neck and/or décolleté.
Immediately after treatment it is quite normal for there to be raised bumps, slight redness and tenderness on the treated area. These signs will gradually disappear in a few days. The skin is once again cleansed and a soothing aftercare balm applied.

After your treatment
Please follow the aftercare advice to minimise adverse effects and maximise your treatment outcome:
Please avoid the use of makeup and touching the treated area for 6 hours. Avoid sweaty exercise, hot showers, saunas and steam rooms for 24 hours following treatment to prevent the introduction of infection to the injection sites. It is important you keep the treated area clean.
For optimal results, times may vary due to area being treated and skin type. Some see results after a few days, while others see results in a few weeks.
You will be offered a review appointment at 2 weeks after your treatment to assess your progress.
